In Alparslan Buyuk Selcuklu Episode 50, Grigor inflicted severe injuries on Seferiye’s stomach and subsequently assaulted Alparslan. To protect his spouse, Alparslan resorted to amputating the Lord’s hand before slaying him. Alparslan then urged Selcan to rush Seferiye to a physician while he engaged in combat against Suleiman’s troops. Selcan discerned the gravity of Seferiye’s condition and opted to transport her to the palace healers. Kutalmis became aware of Suleiman’s plan to detonate the naphtha barrels and decided to withdraw.
As Suleiman pondered over ways to thwart Alparslan, Selcan arrived at the palace. Despite the vizier’s protests, Suleiman permitted the physicians to attend to Seferiye. The physicians of the palace confirmed that Seferiye would recuperate shortly, however, they were unable to rescue the infant. Leon became aware of Suleiman’s feebleness and proposed a pact of peace. The vizier stated that the government had no qualms about assaulting Byzantine, nevertheless, Suleiman commenced contemplating the proposal.
Leon inquired with Suleiman about Gence, to which Suleiman candidly refused to transfer ownership to Byzantium, but agreed to Leon’s proposal. Upon returning to Ani, Leon approached Erbaskan to oversee Gence. Outside the palace, Selcan divulged Suleiman’s undercover scheme to Alparslan. Alparslan approached Kutalmis to put an end to Leon’s actions and shared his plan. Seferiye expressed her desire to depart from the palace, but the Vizier intervened. Suleiman permitted Seferiye and his mother to leave.
Erbaskan visited Gence and presented Sultan’s decree, requesting the soldiers to brace up for a major assault. Once the soldiers vacated the city, Leon initiated his attack. Initially, Alparslan took the lead in attacking the Byzantine troops, followed by Kutalmis. Leon became aware that the plan had been undermined by Erbaskan’s disloyalty and proceeded to harm him. After three days, Alparslan indicated his intention to strike at Kutalmis. To foil Kutalmis and Qavurd’s efforts, Suleiman sought the Vizier’s assistance in abducting their offspring. Alparslan managed to evade the trap set by Kutalmis in the marshes and positioned himself on the battlefield to await his arrival.
